Description
Eulexin is indicated for treatment of prostate cancer along with drugs, such as Lupron.

How Taken
The recommended adult Eulexin dosage is 2 capsules 3 times a day at 8 hour intervals for a total daily dosage of 750 milligrams. Take Eulexin exactly as directed by your doctor. Do not take more or less of it or take it more often than prescribed by your doctor.

Warnings/Precautions
Before taking Eulexin, tell your doctor and pharmacist if you are allergic to Eulexin or any other medications, if you have liver disease. Your doctor will do blood tests to check your liver function before you start treatment with Eulexin and at regular intervals thereafter. If a liver problem does develop, you may need to take less Eulexin or stop taking the drug altogether. Report any signs or symptoms that might suggest liver damage to your doctor right away. Warning signs include dark urine, itching, flu–like symptoms, jaundice (a yellowing of the skin and eyes), persistent appetite loss and persistent tenderness on the right side of the upper abdomen. Tell your doctor what prescription and nonprescription medications, vitamins, nutritional supplements and herbal products you are taking or plan to take. Eulexin is only for use by men. Eulexin can harm a developing baby. Women should never take this drug, either during pregnancy or at any other time.

Missed Dose
If you miss a dose take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue your regular dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one.

Possible Side Effects
Some of the possible side effects are – breast tissue swelling and tenderness, diarrhea, hot flashes, impotence, loss of sex drive, nausea, vomiting. When the drugs are used along with radiation therapy, additional side effects may include bladder inflammation, bleeding from the rectum, blood in the urine and intestinal problems. If you experience these or any other side effects, contact your doctor promptly.

Storage
Store Eulexin at room temperature. Store away from heat, moisture and light. Do not store in the bathroom. Keep this medicine out of the reach of children.

Overdose
If overdose is suspected seek medical attention immediately. Some of the symptoms of Eulexin overdose are – breast development or tenderness.

More Information
Keep all appointments with your doctor. Before having any laboratory test, tell your doctor and the laboratory personnel that you are taking Eulexin. Do not let anyone else take your medication. Ask your pharmacist any questions you have about refilling your prescription.
